CleanBoost® PERFORMANCE MOTOR OIL TEAM IMPRESSED WITH WOOTTON'S ROOKIE RESULTS
Topeka, Kan. – Rookie Top Alcohol Dragster driver Kristen Wootton loves her new part-time job.
The 32-year old driver from Magnolia, Texas juggles being a mother of two, running a successful glass business with driving her family's 270 mile per hour, injected-nitro powered race car in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. Wootton will look to extend her three-round winning streak this weekend at Heartland Park Topeka, during the 22nd annual NHRA Summer Nationals contested in Topeka, Kan.
Wootton enters this weekend's race after winning her first career NHRA 'Wally' at the Division 4 LODRS event in Dallas, Texas in mid-April in her second race day start. The victory was also the first for team sponsor CleanBoost® PERFORMANCE MOTOR OIL (http://www.cleanboostoil.com) and their revolutionary METTLE ARMOR 70 wt Racing Oil. The combination of a rookie driver and a new product often can cause learning curves, however both are impressing fellow racers and crew chiefs across the country with their promising results.
"I've had a great start to my racing career and it's amazing how well the new METTLE ARMOR Racing Oil has protected our engine," noted Wootton whose single-round loss came at the hands of 4-time NHRA TAD Champion Bill Reichert in her first side-by-side race at her debut NHRA event. "Our crew chief Joe Monden is an exceptional tuner and has progressively stepped up the tune-up to match my driving learning curve. Each time I went down the track at the Div 4 race in Dallas, we went quicker and faster. Each time down the track, the engine parts remained protected each step of the way with zero parts failure. I am learning each time I drive this car and hopefully we can add another Wally to the one we won last month. I can get used to this winning stuff for sure."
The results of the Wootton Racing team have been very impressive to the group at CleanBoost® PERFORMANCE MOTOR OIL, a division of Combustion Technologies USA (http://www.combustionusa.com) as well. "We had confidence in our products as we have tested extensively for more than 5 years, but we are honestly shocked with the results of this team," noted Tim Charlet, the Director of Sales and Marketing for Combustion Technologies USA. "Winning an NHRA event is quite an accomplishment for any team, but to win one in the first two times out, with a rookie driver is flat out impressive. We are pleased that there will be two other TAD's (a Blown Alcohol car and another A/Fuel Dragster) in Topeka using the same METTLE ARMOR 70 wt Racing Oil that propelled Kristen to her win in Dallas. We wish all of our customers the best of luck this weekend in Topeka."
Wootton and the METTLE ARMOR Racing Oil A/Fuel Dragster team will begin their qualifying efforts Friday May 21st with two sessions scheduled. A final qualifying session will occur on Saturday with the top 16 Top Alcohol Dragsters facing off in eliminations Saturday evening. Final Eliminations will be completed on Sunday at HRP.
