2006 Bracket Series Race Tech Junior Dragster National Champion: Misty Mayse
Fourteen-year-old Misty Mayse, of Frost, TX earned the greatest honor in her brief but accomplished drag racing career in 2006 by claiming the Bracket Series Race Tech Jr. Dragster national championship. In doing so, Misty joined her brother: BTE Super Pro National Champion Rustin Mayse, as the only sibling national champions in the history of the Bracket Series.
Kalitta Goes Two-for-two Down-under In Nitro Mayhem
Scott Kalitta used a string of consistent runs to win the second running of the Australia VS. USA Top Fuel Showdown. Throughout the day Scott used a 4.67, a 4.56 and a 4.58 to take the win for the second year running.
Top Ten: Auto News in 2006

Following the announcement of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) assuming management of drag racing from Prostar, the AMA is pleased to announce a new class structure beginning with the 2007 racing season.

Valeo SA has several development contracts with automakers for its camless engine, industry sources say. The technology is expected to be available in less than five years. ADRL Announces Two-Day Test at Montgomery
The Flowmaster American Drag Racing League today announced plans to hold its first-ever pre season test session Feb. 3 and 4 at Montgomery Motorsports Park in Montgomery, Ala. The track will be open both days, free of charge, for test runs for all Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, and Pro 10.5 cars in attendance.

2007 National Hot Rod Reunion honorees named
Honorees were announced Friday for the fifth annual National Hot Rod Reunion, Jun. 15-17, 2007 at National Trail Raceway near Columbus, Ohio. The honorees are John Abbott, Don Cain, Ted Harbit, Fred Hurst, and the team of Gary Rupp and Pat Dakin. Jeg Coughlin will be the Grand Marshal, while the Justice Bros.
