GLENDORA, Calif. -- Tickets for the 2010 Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Lucas Oil will go on sale to the general public today, Tuesday, May 25. Fans purchasing tickets through NHRATix.com before 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 26 will receive a complimentary copy of the DVD 2009 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Year in Review. One DVD will be provided per ticket order. Tickets may also be ordered by calling (800) 884-NHRA, however, tickets purchased via telephone will not be eligible for the free DVD offer.
The 2010 Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Lucas Oil marks the first O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis event to utilize NHRATix.com to sell race tickets. Utilizing ExtremeTix software, NHRATix provides a number of benefits previously unavailable for Mac Tools U.S. Nationals customers, including the ability to select specific seats online, the ability to print tickets at home at no expense and the ability to e-mail tickets to friends attending an event. Instead of paying a per ticket service fee, customers will pay a single, low fee for each order placed.
The Mac Tools U.S. Nationals is the world’s most prestigious drag race and offers the very best in speed and high performance for hot rodding enthusiasts. More than 1,000 competitors in 12 different racing categories will perform in front of the standing-room only crowd during the much-anticipated Labor Day classic at revered O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, Sept. 1-6. It is the 18th of 23 events in the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series for 2010, and the first of six races in the Countdown to 1, NHRA’s championship playoffs. The race, which will feature NHRA stars John Force and Tony Schumacher among others, will be showcased nationwide on ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD, which will televise more than 10 hours of coverage of drag racing’s marquee spectacle.
