AHRA partners with TRACK RESCUE (R) for Safety Services.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (May 12, 2010) -- High speeds and horsepower combine for the adrenaline rush of danger in drag racing, and the American Hot Rod Association has formed an alliance with Sarasota, Florida-based TRACK RESCUE (R) to keep fans and racers safe at all 2010 AHRA Reunion Tour events.

Founded in 1982 by Chief Craig Clarke to protect racecar drivers and events, TRACK RESCUE is one of the only private Fire/Rescue departments in North America dedicated solely to motorsports safety.

"Our goal is to put on a great show for fans while keeping everyone safe," said AHRA's CEO Troy Moe. "There was no need for us to re-invent the wheel when TRACK RESCUE
was available to staff our events with the very best Safety Team out there."

TRACK RESCUE's Chief Craig Clarke said, "It is great that AHRA cares for its drivers, crews and tracks by taking the steps necessary to help protect them. We are very happy to provide our professional services to the AHRA and the racing community as we have for the past 28 years."

The AHRA is a drag racing membership organization founded in 1956 to sanction racetracks and promote drag racing events throughout the United States and Canada.  The company is headquartered in Spokane Valley, Wash., and has a divisional office in Panama City, Fla. The 2010 schedule is highlighted by several drag racing events including: the Reunion Tour, the U.S. Sportsmen Series, the Canadian Sportsmen Tour, and the AHRA U.S. Funny Car Championships. The AHRA also offers several track-specific sanctioned bracket-racing series.
