Leverentz and Kulik back to stay with 2011 PMRA Pro Modified season

"Lots of changes" for 1967 Camaro from Western NY race shop

ELMA, NEW YORK (April 14, 2011) – The Pro Modified team of Oddy's Automotive, Inc. and Kulik Automotive plans to make a concerted effort on this year's Pro Modified Racing Association Tour.

"We're planning on making all the PMRA shows," said car owner Dave Leverentz. "That's at the top of our list."

The team only raced in two PMRA events last season, but is going to participate in the entire 2011 season. Dave Kulik Jr will continue to drive the 1967 Chevy Camaro Pro Modified.

While he wouldn't mention specifics, Leverentz said "there are lots of changes for the car" this season, and is hoping to be a contender with the G-Force Race Cars product.

A SSI Superchargers 14-71 High Helix supercharger has been added for 2011 and the car will continue with a Lenco three-speed transmission and an Oddy's Automotive fuel system.

Crew chief for the team is Dave's brother Billy Leverentz who worked with noted Pro Modified builder and racer Jim Oddy before his retirement, and now the Leverentz brothers continue to build high-performance engines and cars, along with truck-pulling machines in the Western New York shop.

Sponsored by Oddy's Automotive, Inc. Kulik Automotive, and Gail's Gas Outlet, Joe Kulik makes up the rest of the team.

Although the Leverentz brothers have spent a lot of time building and competing in the truck-pulling side, they wanted to get into Pro Modified racing in a bigger way, and think the PMRA is a great venue for not only racing but to show what their company can accomplish in a business sense.

"We're looking forward to the racing this year," noted Leverentz. "We've got some surprises."
