ADRL Teams Up With Penske Truck Leasing For Inaugural Northeast Drags At Maple Grove Raceway

O'FALLON, MO (April 18, 2011) – The first trip to the Northeast for the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) will also include a new partnership.

The ADRL announced today that leading global transportation provider Penske Truck Leasing will be the title sponsor for the Inaugural ADRL Penske Truck Leasing Northeast Drags.

The highly-anticipated event is the third stop on the 2011 ADRL Tour and it takes place on May 6-7 at historic Maple Grove Raceway.

It will be the first race for the world's premier eighth-mile drag league at the track and the ADRL is excited to debut a new partnership for the national event.

"This is a huge deal for the ADRL and it is a great partnership for us to establish," ADRL Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Brian Evans said.

"We want to make a major impact with our first trip to the Northeast and working with such a global company like Penske Truck Leasing will allow that to happen."

With its corporate headquarters in Reading, Pa. located just 15 miles from Maple Grove Raceway, Penske Truck Leasing saw the opportunity to support a first-time event at the local venue.

"We're pleased to be a part of the American Drag Racing League's effort to bring this exciting and entertaining series to the region at Maple Grove Raceway," stated Penske Truck Leasing President and CEO Brian Hard.

"Working with such a global company like Penske Truck Leasing is where the ADRL's business model really works," Evans said. "They have such a strong reach and reputation, it will give us a great opportunity to promote what will be an unbelievable event at a first-class track."
