Dear Friends,
It is with a sad heart that I let you know Joe Mondello passed away very early this morning.
Traci has learned from Mary, his wife the service arrangements are pending at a funeral home in Crossville, Tenn., and he will be laid to rest in California.
The engine project will move forward, but the details are yet to be worked out with Mary. Shortly before he passed away, Joe said to Mary, “Mary, we DNQ’ed the PROJECT 1320 engine. I couldn’t get it done… I didn’t qualify.”
We will keep you posted about further details.
It is a sad, sad day…but please remember Joe for his passion, his single minded determination and his warm, cheerful personality. As Traci said, “We have lost a passionate crusader for the PROJECT.”
