Kopp Motorsports to debut new combination, new sponsors in 2011

Team will compete for the Quick 32 Sportsman Series Championship in Top Dragster

Burlington, ON  (February 25, 2011) – As the 2011 season quickly approaches, preparations are in full swing for the Kopp Motorsports drag racing team as it prepares to enter its first full season of competition in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts.
The team, led by owner and driver Rick Kopp, will introduce a new major sponsor to the world of drag racing.
"These guys are really excited to be onboard with our program and are looking forward to utilizing every marketing advantage drag racing has to offer." said Kopp. "Although the sponsorship is completely finalized, an official announcement won't be made until closer to our first event."
Also new for the 2011 season is a potent drivetrain upgrade in the 2001 Mike Bos built dragster.
"In past years we've run a pretty basic motor and tranny combination and produced some pretty impressive numbers, but with the level of competition in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series we felt the need to really step up our program." stated Kopp. "Our sponsors expect us to be one of the best cars in our division every time out and we intend to compete for the top qualifying spot at every race we attend."
Look for the Kopp Motorsports team to make a big splash in 2011 as it aims to win the 2011 Quick 32 Sportsman Series Championship in just its first full year with the series.
