NEWS FLASH !! Woodburn Dragstrip is proud to announce the first phase of a continuing and extensive track renovation which is guaranteed to impact the entire drag racing world on the West Coast. The one remaining event for 2010 will be cancelled so that this project can begin immediately. This quarter-million dollar project will see an entire new racing surface installed from mid-track extending beyond the finish line. Over 21,000 cubic feet of concrete will replace the former asphalt surface. The entire quarter-mile racing surface will now be constructed of concrete from start to finish. Racers and race fans can anticipate a smoother surface, quicker clean-up, faster drying, and quicker ET’s as a result. Woodburn Dragstrip is gratified to exemplify the motto of the “Land of the Leaders” and invites racers and race fans to experience the results first-hand in 2011.
