JUPITER, FL (October 15, 2010) - Jason Rittenberry, president and CEO of Palm Beach International Raceway, knows a thing or two about how to make a Super Chevy Show work. As former vice president and general manager of Memphis Motorsports Park, Rittenberry annually had one of the most successful Super Chevy Show events on the tour. He plans to apply his expertise in hosting a Super Chevy Show at PBIR in 2011.
Rittenberry announced today that PBIR will be kicking off the 2011 Super Chevy Show season with an event in the spring. The specific dates of the event will be announced with the series official schedule release on Tuesday, October 19.
“We’re thrilled to have the Super Chevy Show back at Palm Beach International Raceway,” Rittenberry said. “The show is definitely in demand here in South Florida. The Super Chevy Show has a rich history here at PBIR, especially during the Moroso days, and we’re excited to have it back. 2011 is going to be a big year for PBIR and this event will definitely be one of the highlights.”
The Super Chevy Show at PBIR will have the traditional Car Show, Drag Race, Car Corral, and Swap Meet categories, but will also include the very popular Autocross category in the event schedule.
“With the space that PBIR has, we’re able to include Autocross in the event next year,” Rittenberry said. “What I like about the show is we can tailor it to our racers and fans, and including Autocross does just that. I’m really glad we could add this event to our strong lineup of spring/fall events we have set.”
