Hinbest Racing and Quick 32 Sportsman Series team up to announce a new automotive scholarship for 2010!

$1000 scholarship at the Canadian Automotive Institute, Canada’s automotive school of business

Orangeville, Ontario (April 30, 2010) – Hinbest Racing has teamed up with the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and the Canadian Automotive Institute to offer a $1000 scholarship along with giving back to the automotive community.

It is hoped the scholarship becomes an annual event.

“Being a student at the Canadian Automotive Institute I am excited to be able to give something back to the school which has instilled so many skills in myself,” said team driver Mike Hinbest.

The Canadian Automotive Institute at Georgian College Barrie is Canada’s only automotive school of business! The school offers an automotive marketing diploma and a bachelor of business automotive management degree. Both programs include 3 paid co-op work terms. Information about the Canadian Automotive Institute will be at select Quick 32 Sportsman Series events along with literature handed out at the Hinbest Racing trailer. For more information regarding the Canadian Automotive Institute, please visit www.thecai.ca or feel free to contact Hinbest Racing directly.

Another unique opportunity that the NAPA Auto Parts Top Dragster team is working on is the "round win for charity" program. For every round win the team earns it will donate $50 to the Canadian Cancer Society, and Ideal Supply has graciously decided to match all contributions made by the team.

“We were happy finishing seventh last year in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series Championship Point Award Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, but like all teams out there we are always trying to improve,” said Hinbest. “This year we have made some changes to the motor and set up a new car management program to help our team win.”

Hinbest Racing accredits Carl Spiering and the great engine builders at ERD (Engine Research & Development) for their engine program success. As well the team was able to win the Best Engine award at the Performance World Car Show in the off-season.

This year the team has added new sponsors including NGK Spark Plugs, Permatex, Fast Eddie Race Wear, and of course The Canadian Automotive Institute.

“Our sponsors make racing possible, and we have added great new sponsors and are proud to continue with our current ones, NAPA Auto Parts, The Tire Discounter Group, Ideal Supply, Roy’s Service Centre and Quaker State,” Hinbest noted.
