High Velocity Impact Race March 27th in Evadale at Ben Bruce Memorial Raceway park

TURBO TODD MOYER AND ERIC STUBBS in thier Extreem 10.5 will be at the Dale on Saturday with the High Velocity team. we hope to see a 3 second pass on a 10.5w tire out of these guys.

Local hero “Turbo Todd” Moyer joined Chuck Ulsch and reigning Flowmaster Extreme 10.5 World Champion Spiro Pappas in the Mickey Thompson 3-Second Club with a 3.968-seconds run at 196.50 mph in the third round of qualifying for the ADRL Universal Technical Institute Dragpalooza VI presented by Safety-Kleen at Houston Raceway Park.

Moyer slotted into second-place on the qualifying list behind Pappas (3.924/195.22) and ran 1.02 to 60 feet, 2.696 to the half-track point and 3.968 at the finish.

After crediting Mickey Thompson “for making a great tire,” Moyer, from nearby Pasadena, TX, turned all attention to his teammates, led by crew chief Chad Rogers.

“Without these guys I couldn’t do anything,” Moyer said. “They deserve all the credit for this.”

It’s that time again, www.HoustonOutlawRacing.com  brings High Velocity Impact racing, OTTA, Ultimate Street, Texas 8.5’s and Index racing to Evadale Texas at Ben Bruce Memorial Raceway March 27, 2010.

Who will walk away with the 2010 OTTA Championship?

Kenjo Kelley has plans to return to OTTA (Outlaw True Ten Association in 2010 and plans to reclaim his 2008 championship OTTA Title but the Virus Racing Team current Championship Holder from 2009  has little something up their sleeve. I don’t think that Kyle Huettel is going let anyone walk away with the title very easily in 2010, and Rob Valden has already been dreaming about wearing the crown and Kevin Cram has already ordered the Championship Ring is his size, and one of my little spy’s is telling me that Rodney Whatley has been doing some serious changes hmmmm.

There has been many changes over the winter on the OTTA cars and after the Georgia upset I think we are going to see some records broken come race day. Currently Justin Curry is the MPH holder and Kyle Huettel is the ET holder but with all the winter changes some of those titles may be in jeopardy

So if you are ready for some good old Texas Outlaw racing be at the Dale March 27 for the High Velocity Impact Race.

For those new to heads-up racing, a 10.5 racing tire is relatively narrow for cars this quick. Even so, many cars will launch their front wheels at the line and carry them considerable distances down the strip. Needless to say, it requires considerable car control.

So if ultra-fast, side-by-side, wheel standing action is your cup of tea, then this weekend’s Heads-Up competition is just what the doctor ordered!

Come race, test or watch some of the best Heads Up racing in Texas, everyone is welcome.
