Quarter Mile Foundation announces initial SEMA Show interview list

Parma Heights, Ohio (October 6, 2011) – The Quarter Mile Foundation has announced it will conduct at least 14 interviews of drag racing and performance industry pioneers during the 2011 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, November 1 - 4, 2011 (See us at Booth #10900).

“We are very pleased to again be working with SEMA and CONVEXX to be capable of completing more interviews for the PROJECT 1320 documentary film,” said Traci Hrudka, Foundation Chairman. “These interviews will add to the 66 interviews already finished.

“We have been very fortunate to capture the oral histories and recollection of these legends and pioneers of both drag racing and the performance industry. This year, we are focusing our attention upon the performance industry figures, since the SEMA Show has become a ‘homecoming’ event for many of these men and women who built the industry.”

The interviews will be conducted by noted drag racing historian, Don Gillespie. While the interviewees will be largely individuals whose careers were marked by their accomplishments in the performance aftermarket, there will a few who excelled at the drag strip, as well.

Confirmed for interviews are:
  • Art Chrisman
  • Carl Olson
  • Don Prudhomme
  • Joe Hrudka
  • Jim Kerr
  • Arnold Kuhns
  • Leo Kagan
  • Angelo Giampetroni
  • Bob Keller
  • Jim McFarland
  • Dennis Holding
  • Jeg Coughlin Sr.
  • Linda Vaughn
  • Chuck Blum
The Foundation is awaiting confirmation from several other pioneers, which will be updated when confirmed. The interview of Linda Vaughn will be continuation of an earlier interview, which was left unfinished due to prior commitments at the 2010 SEMA Show.
