Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals Retunes to Maple Grove

READING, Pa. (October 6, 2011) – The Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals returns to Maple Grove Raceway tomorrow for the conclusion of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series portion of the event that was postponed last weekend due to weather and extremely wet grounds in the sportsman pit area.

The four classes of competition this weekend are Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, and Super Gas that will make two qualifying/time trial runs on Friday, and move into elimination rounds on Saturday morning with final rounds scheduled for Saturday evening. Racing begins each day at 8:45 a.m.



The four pro classes along with the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Top Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Cars, and Comp Eliminator categories were complete last weekend with Frank Manzo winning the Top Alcohol Funny Car class and clinching his 15th NHRA Lucas Oil National Championship. Mike Kosky beat Joey Severance for the Top Alcohol Dragster trophy and Bo Butner won in Comp Eliminator.
