(Oct. 10, 2011) — As part of the final NHRA 60th anniversary season celebration, NHRA announced today that children 12-and-under can receive free tickets to the 2011 Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals. Aimed at introducing the next generation of drag racing fans to the sport, the offer is good on both reserved and general admission tickets when the child is accompanied by an adult.

This can be selected while finalizing the adult portion of the order. Scheduled for Nov. 10-13, the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals is the season-ending race in the NHRA Full Throttle Countdown to the Championship playoffs, and the drama will be high as drivers in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle will try to capture the final victory of the season. Meanwhile, many of the drivers will be trying to lock up NHRA Full Throttle world championships.
In addition to the intense racing on the track, NHRA’s season-long 60th anniversary celebration will come to a close, and 15-time NHRA Funny Car world champion John Force will be honored during the event as the official NHRA Legend and many of his historic cars will be featured in a special car corral during the event. There will be plenty of autograph sessions and meet and greet opportunities with Force. The popular Track Walk with a Legend will take place prior to Sunday’s final eliminations.
