Super Chevy Show Series has a Direct Path to Racer Contingency

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 8, 2011)- When it comes down to it, the Super Chevy Show series presented by GM Performance Division has the potential to spark mutually beneficial relationships between sponsors and drag racers. Because the series is owned by a group of drag racing tracks that hold events ranging from weekly bracket races to national events, the Super Chevy Shows are always packed with hundreds of racers.

Car counts at such events average more than 300 cars, with Maple Grove Raceway tipping the scales at over 650 racer entries in 2010. These large numbers of participating cars have grasped the attention of many major companies, causing them to become involved in the Super Chevy Show series contingency program.

The program provides an opportunity for product manufacturers to post product contingency awards in its top two bracket racing classes – the DriveDuracell.com Bracket 1 class, as well as the Bracket 2 class. Postings provide racers incentive to use the product, run the manufacturers decal and claim the $100 winner, or $50 runner up prizes in either of the series classes at each Super Chevy Show event.

Last year, the Super Chevy Show racer contingency program was headlined by Trailer Toad accessories (www.trailertoad.com), which has recently renewed its participation for the 2011 season.

TrailerToad, based in Janesvile, Iowa, has an extremely beneficial product for drag racers, as it reduces the amount of weight put on the tow vehicle, which provides for a better ride and protects the investment tied up in the trailer and its contents.

Jok Nicholson, company owner of Trailer Toad said, “We had promotional exposure at all of the Super Chevy Show events last year, and I was personally able to have product on-site for display and demonstration at several events.”

“It was truly a unique situation when some of the largest and most well know tracks got together and purchased the series. It created a perfect storm for companies like ours that want to get in front of a large audience of racers at one time. My goal is to be at events where there are a lot of racers using trailers to haul their cars. This series has twelve of those great opportunities for us to do that,” added Nicholson.

Jok encourages other manufacturers in the performance industry, no matter how big or small, to get involved like he has with Trailer Toad.
