NHRA UNLEASHED RULES NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

GLENDORA, Calif. (Feb. 24, 2010) — NHRA unveiled its rules supplement today for NHRA Unleashed, an experience unlike any other, both on and off the track. The “Pure American Horsepower” event debuts June 11-13 at Georgia’s Atlanta Dragway.

The 2010 NHRA Unleashed rules supplement is available by logging on to www.nhra.com/userfiles/file/unleashed/2010%20NHRA%20Unleashed.pdf. Racers in all categories will compete for the coveted NHRA Wally® trophy and bragging rights amongst their peers.

Classes scheduled to compete in NHRA Unleashed events include: Outlaw 10.5, Limited Street, EZ Street, Modified Street, and 8.5, 10.0, 11.0, 12.0 and 13.0 index classes. These are the cars that race every drag strip across the nation and are the backbone of drag racing. They include a wide variety of muscle cars, compact cars, trucks and even station wagons. A high-octane addition to the track excitement will be exhibition Pro Mod cars.

Complementing the activities on the track will be vast manufacturers’ midway, with a number of national and local sponsorship exhibits and interactive displays, a Kids Zone, automotive swap meet and automotive seminars, an autocross, a car show, and the “NHRA Unleashed Center Stage.”

NHRA and Disrupt/ive Studios plan on announcing a television partner for the four events in the near future.

Other NHRA Unleashed dates and locations include: O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, Aug. 6-8, 2010; National Trail Raceway near Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 10-12; and Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Fla., Nov. 5-7.
