MOROSO & Lori Johns Racing take Corporate Sponsorships for Project 1320

Traci Hrudka, Chairman of the Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation has announced that long-time performance industry icon, Moroso Performance Products, Inc. (Guilford, Conn.) has become the first corporate sponsor to support the Foundation’s effort to document the history of drag racing and the performance aftermarket.
“I am so pleased to have Moroso become a part of this effort,” said Ms. Hrudka. “Moroso Performance Products has been a key component of the growth of the performance aftermarket. Dick (Moroso) was one of the pioneers who epitomize what the PROJECT 1320 effort is about.
“Dick was a fearsome competitor with his Modified Eliminator Corvettes on the NHRA circuit, and he was just as fearsome as a businessman, growing his company and the industry.  I have to believe Dick would be justifiably pleased to see his company be the first to support this effort.
“I want to thank his son, Rick and Thor Schroeder, Moroso’s Director of Sales & Marketing for their belief in and support of this undertaking.”
“Moroso Performance Products is proud of our role in the industry and for what the industry is today,” said Rick Moroso. “When approached about this project we knew that the story had to be told and what better way than by the people who were part of it.

“We are excited about helping write the next chapter and for our role in helping preserve the history of Drag Racing and the industry built from it.”

The Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation is a pending 501(c)(3)not-for-profit foundation, which is producing PROJECT 1320, a documentary film series about the history of drag racing and the parallel growth of the performance automotive aftermarket.

Traci Hrudka, Chairman of the Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation, has announced Lori Johns, the four-time Top Fuel National Hot Rod Association event winner during the period of the late 1980s through the early 1990s, has become a corporate-level sponsor of the Foundation, through Lori Johns Racing.
Said Ms. Hrudka, “I was stunned and so pleased with Lori’s phone call to me, in which she told me of her donation. The two of us have been dear friends for years, but this was completely unexpected!
“Lori told us she would be signing autographs and helping with the PROJECT 1320 booth in the “Golden 50 Corral” at the Winternationals in Pomona next week, but I had no inkling she would become a financial benefactor.”
Ms. Johns stated, “Drag racing is a unique form of motorsport. It is a combination of engineering genius and a close knit community of friends and families that have created a bond, beyond any obstacle, through the love of the sport. This project, the brainchild of Traci Hrudka and the board of Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation is integral to chronicling the history of those people that made the quickest and fastest cars on the planet. I am excited to have the opportunity to contribute to a cause so important and dear to my heart!”
