TROXEL HEADLINES NHRA TUESDAY ON WFORADIO.COM

HOLLYWOOD, FL (January 25, 2010) - NHRA Full Throttle Series star Melanie Troxel will headline this week's WFO Radio NHRA Tuesday with host Joe Castello, live at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, January 26.  To listen, go to http://www.wforadio.com

Troxel will appear on WFO Radio NHRA Tuesday following the recent announcement that she will return to national Funny Car competition along with popular sponsor In-N-Out Burger.  Troxel, who drove for In-N-Out Burger in the late 1990s in the Top Alcohol Class, will race the In-N-Out Burger Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car for R2B2 Racing in the eight NHRA national events that take place in California, Nevada, Arizona and Texas in 2010.

In her brief NHRA career in Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Mod, Troxel has earned seven national event victories in 16 final-round showings. Troxel, along with Shirley Muldowney, is one of just two female racers to win in both NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car.

In addition to Troxel, NHRA Director of Media Relations Anthony Vestal will appear on the show to discuss the new four-wide racing format that will debut at this spring's Carolina Nationals.  Also, veteran NHRA announcer Alan Reinhart will join Castello for his regular segment to discuss the latest news and issues in drag racing.

Joe Castello, the creator of hit satellite radio shows Wide Open on NASCAR Radio and Power Shift, breaks new ground in motorsports radio with WFORadio.com.  Through a user friendly, high quality experience free of charge to the listeners, WFORadio.com is setting a new standard for internet based radio with opinionated coverage of NASCAR, NHRA, IndyCar, Formula One, ALMS and Grand Am racing.

WFO Radio airs live every Monday and Tuesday, 7 - 8 p.m. ET and will expand to four nights per week during motorsports regular season.  NHRA Tuesday features interviews with the stars of the NHRA Full Throttle Series as well as expert analysis from veteran NHRA announcer Alan Reinhart each week.
