O'FALLON, MO (April 23, 2012) – Lizzy Musi's wild ride during last weekend's American Drag Racing League (ADRL) Spring Drags III at Bristol Dragway continues to garner an impressive amount of attention.

On Monday, the ADRL announced that Musi, a 21-year-old participating in the ADRL's Summit Racing Equipment Top Sportsman class, will be featured on the FOX News Channel national morning show, "America's Newsroom."

Musi will appear live on the popular cable news network at 9:45 A.M. EST to talk about the crash, the amount of attention it has received and also the support she has received following the incredible crash in Bristol on Friday.

It is the latest major news outlet to feature the ADRL and Musi, who made her Summit Racing Equipment Top Sportsman debut last month.

The story and video of the crash was featured on the front page of Yahoo!, as well as the Auto Racing blog on Yahoo!. The video clip of the crash was also featured on the SPEED Channel's "WOW Factor."

Clips of the crash have also aired on CNN, MSNBC and a number of morning shows, including "America's Newsroom" on FOX News Channel, "Good Morning America," the "Today" show and more.

Other news outlets that reported on the crash include the USA Today, FOX Sports, the Knoxville News-Sentinel, a number of Bristol-area newspaper, television and radio stations, and a variety of other media outlets around the world.

In just more than 48 hours, the video clip of Musi's run during the third round of qualifying in Bristol has already been viewed nearly 800,000 times on YouTube alone.

During the run on Friday, Musi's '68 Camaro got loose, turned sideways and crashed into the left wall. After air got underneath the car, it slid down the wall before it toppled over and stopped in the grass at about the quarter-mile mark on the track.

It was a wild scene, but, with the safety team quickly en route, Musi, the daughter of drag racing legend Pat Musi, was able to get out of the car under her own power and suffered no serious injuries.

"First, we are relieved that nobody was injured. It was a scary moment for everyone in attendance, but it also highlighted the incredible power of these cars and the rigorous safety requirements of the ADRL," ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune said.

"It is this awesome power that makes the drivers of the ADRL such phenomenal athletes and so exciting to watch, and I know Lizzy is happy to share her wild ride with the world."

Said Musi to the Bristol-Herald Courier: "I really appreciate the sympathy and the help from everyone. I'm just going to take all this as a learning experience.

"God was with me during that run. I never got out of a car so quick in my life, and all the officials did a great job making sure I was okay."

On Twitter, Musi (@LizzyMusi) also expressed her gratitude for the show of support she has received.

"I would like to say thank you to everyone for their support and encouragement! Getting things fixed and back on the track real soon!"

The Spring Drags III marked the ADRL's debut at Bristol Dragway.

The third stop on the 10-race 2012 ADRL Tour takes place on May 4-5 with the Northeast Drags II presented by Penske at historic Maple Grove Raceway. Musi is working hard to try to be back racing for that event as well.
