Funny Car's free-for-all battles in 2004 should carry over to New Year
The face of NHRA drag racing for the last decade and a half has been John Force, the Funny Car fan favorite from Yorba Linda, Calif., who has collected 14 of the last 15 championships. But after regaining the title from former teammate Tony Pedregon in 2004 with his 13th career crown, Force should know that his current rivals are closer than ever to ending his reign.
