Ribbon cut on drag strip in Guam
A bright full moon in a clear night sky, the smell of burning fuel and the sound of engines roaring -- is there a better way for a racing fan to spend a Saturday night? About 5,000 turned out for the opening of 76 Circle K Drag Strip. Guam Racing Federation President Henry Simpson, along with other guests and dignitaries, spoke before a crowd of drag racers and spectators before a special ribbon-cutting ceremony last night at the Guam International Raceway in Yigo.

Hey Guam isn't the only island out here that has drag racing. The Philippines has it's own version.

And believe it or not a club called AHRA Angeles Hot Rod Association.

Most of the cars run down south are Hondas and Toyotas that trip the lights in the low 11 second bracket.
