Rocky Reports: Thompson Gasser Reunion!

Sorry for the late report, trying to get the Pirrone n Ellershaw fleet sailing full steam ahead has kept me from getting on the computer...  The "Classical AA/GS Group" had a full field of beautiful period correct AA/GS cars wowing the fans with old school supercharged Gasser racing! The highlight of the show was Freddy Bear wheeling the K.S. Pittman 33 Willys tribute car to yet another victory! What made this win so special was this was the first time out for Fred and the K.S. 33 since his hard hit to the Gainesville retaining wall in late March.

The Pirrone n Ellershaw race team worked around the clock to have the K.S. Willys in top shape, and it top shape it was as Freddy drove the rebuilt hot rod to some solid 5.60 passes and cut some great .0 lights on his way to victory! The runner up spot belonged to Micky Hales in his beautiful blue Austin AA/GS car. The burn out award went to Steve Crook in his wild Blew by You 56 Chevy  The Boss Hydro was credited with low ET with a 5.59 second run. The crowd was really good especially considering the weather was calling for a 70% chance of rain, Our thanks goes to Thompson Dragway's crew for doing a awesome job of getting the track in great shape!

Our next outing will be this Sunday at Beaver Springs Dragway, the "Classical AA/GS Group" will be the head line attraction to the Pa. Gasser Reunion!
