NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series, Nightfire Nationals Final Results from Firebird Raceway, Boise, Idaho

 
SOROKIN, KRABILL & MYERS SWEEP NIGHTFIRE TITLES

Good friends Adam Sorokin and Kris Krabill collectively swept Heritage titles at the 41st edition of the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals at Firebird Raceway. Driving the Champion Speed Shop Top Fueler, Sorokin charged to a winning 5.83-233.10 for low e.t. of eliminations to win the Fuel Dragster stop in Idaho. He beat #1 qualifier Rick Williamson who finished at 5.94-248.48. Williamson led the field with a 5.82-257.28 for the event’s quickest performances.

In the AA/Funny Car final, Kris Krabill earned his third Nightfire Funny Car title joining the likes of John Force and Keith Jackson, both previous three-time Nightfire flopper winners. At the wheel of the Bucky Austin/Dennis O’Brien Plymouth Arrow, Krabill sped to a 5.94-239.04 to defeat Jason Rupert who finished runner-up at 6.00-235.23.

Dan Myers drove his `57 Cameo pickup to an easy victory in Outlaw Pro Mod (running 7.04-195.95) when the `69 Camaro of Marc Meadors developed an oil leak backing up from his burnout.

The National Dragster Challenge 4-Night Bracketeer Point’s Champions were awarded to: Bracketeer Champ-Mark Kidd, Pro-Houston Head, Heavy-Ryan Schaefer and Sled/Bike-Rich Pedraza Jr.
