Edwards will be based in NHRA’s Charlotte office
GLENDORA, Calif. (Dec. 21, 2010) —As part of NHRA’s initiative to continue to develop and expand its sales team, Leonard Edwards has been hired as director of sales. Edwards will report to Tony Driscoll, vice president of sales and business development. Both are based in NHRA’s Charlotte office.
Edwards has more than seven years of experience in a variety of sales positions within the sports field. Most recently, he worked at International Speedway Corp. (ISC) as manager of partnership sales. While there, Edwards was responsible for sales in all aspects of the business including media, race entitlements, experiential marketing displays and hospitality. Edwards has also worked in collegiate sports and at the team level in the NBA, NFL, Major League Baseball and the Arena Football League.
“Leonard is an excellent addition to our sales team here at NHRA,” said Driscoll. “He brings all the skills necessary to identify programs and opportunities designed to meet their business objectives. I am confident he will have an immediate impact on the sport.”
Edwards graduated with a Master of Business Administration from North Park University in Chicago, where he also received his Bachelor of Science. Edwards also attended Eastern Illinois University.
