IHRA Fleet Gets a Makeover Courtesy of PCD Wraps and Graphics

IHRA to debut new trailers, semis this summer on Nitro Jam, Pro-Am Tours

NORWALK, Ohio (May 21, 2013) – With new ownership, a new logo and a completely revamped brand, there was only one thing left for IHRA to do: take the new look on the road.

PCD Wraps and Graphics out of Blanchard, Oklahoma made it happen with its specially made wrap designs that will make their way to races across the country on the IHRA tour. The new designs will stand out on the highways and at the tracks, creating just the kind of exposure IHRA was looking for.

PCD president Chase Huffman was brought up on racing. He started coming to the track as a newborn to watch his dad in the late ‘80s and has since driven in both the Hot Rod and Quick Rod divisions, winning his first Quick Rod race at the Tulsa Nationals in 2007. The experience has helped him get PCD – which was started in December – off and running.

“Racers know what racers want,” Huffman said.

The attention to detail PCD president Chase Huffman and his team have taken is remarkable. They had to take off and put back close to 5,000 screws to ensure a fresh, clean look on all three trailers. Included in the design is the new IHRA logo, featured prominently on all three sides. All of the designs are based on the red, white and blue scheme.

“When you see these trailers rolling down the highway you’ll know that’s IHRA Motorsports,” Huffman said.

Also built into the designs are the logos of each of IHRA’s official sponsors, which include Summit Racing Equipment, AMSOIL, CarSafe, Sunoco, Race Fuels, To-a-Tee Custom Screenprinting, Racing Electronics as well as PCD Wraps and Graphics.

Huffman originally wanted to do the designs for the Summit SuperSeries giveaway cars, but Sherrie Barbour, IHRA’s Special Programs and Junior Dragster Manager gave him a project that both parties can be proud of.

“These are the trucks that go to all the IHRA events and will for years,” she said. “Everyone sees these trucks because at the Pro-Am events every racer there has to go there.”

Racers will have no trouble finding these IHRA trailers.

“Yes, it is just a big rolling billboard, but we do the work as if it’s going to sit at a car show and we’re going for best appearing trailer,” Huffman said.
