(05-06-2013) Mechanicsville, MD – The Northeast Outlaw Pro Mods (NEOPMA) Teams are ready to get back at it after the season kicked off at the MIR Door Wars three weeks ago with Jeff Miller leaving MIR the winner and points leader.
Last year's 34th Annual Mountain Motor Nationals winners Ed Burnley (Nitrous Class) and Steve Drummond (Blown/Turbo Class) and all of the Pro Mod Teams that attend NEOPMA events this year will be battling to be the winner under a new format, one 16 car Pro Mod field combining Blowers, Nitrous and Turbos in one class that will only crown one champion per event.
The 35th Annual Mountain Motor Nationals will be one of the only races in the Country where you will see Pro Mods and Mountain Motor Pro Stocks compete together racing on the full quarter mile.
"For the past 34 years, the Mountain Motor Nationals has grown and prospered, and the 35th running of this event will be no less spectacular. This event is one of the more popular events at MIR, with fans having the chance to see the NEOPMA Pro Mods and the Mountain Motor Pro Stocks racing down the quarter mile", states Royce Miller - General Manager of MIR.
"This event will be reminiscent of the days of old, when Pro Mods and Mountain Motor Pro Stocks competed at the same venue accelerating down the quarter mile. This event will feature a 16 car field of the fastest Pro Mods on the East Coast", states John Mazzorana of the NEOPMA.
The event is host not only to the NEOPMA and Mountain Motor Pro Stocks on the quarter mile; you will also get to see Pro Imports courtesy of USA Auto Supply. The event will also feature "The Wild Bunch Altereds", Top ET, and more.
