JIM ODDY DEBUTS NEW AA/GAS RIDE SEPTEMBER 15TH AT PITTSBURGH RACEWAY PARK

Just wanted to give an update on this past weekends race.

Pittsburgh Raceway Park put on a great venue with a packed house and tremendous track preperation. The AA/GS Racers Association, presented by Summit Racing Equipment, had 7 of their members attend who all did a great job displaying sportsmanship and class, and ran their cars as hard as they could. Jim Oddy also debuted his new "Junk Yard Dog" which as expected, was a huge crowd pleaser. If that wasn't enough, John Cassiol had Jim Oddy's meticulously restored 1948 Austin on display which also received a lot of great compliments.

At the end of the day, John Foust took home the win in the final round over Jeff Cryan and his "Bizio" ride. John ran a stout 5.21 ET @ 134.37 mph to Cryan's also very quick pass of 5.30 ET @ 134.45. Needless to say, it was a GREAT side by side final race, much to the pleasure of the crowd. Jeff Cryan also took home the Pro Racing Fuels top speed of the race at 135.14 mph.

Another great accomplishment was Hank Wetmore and his "Travelers" ride driven wonderfully by his driver Teddy. Thier team took home the Summit Racing Equipment's most improved car clicking off their quickest pass to date, 5.73 ET @ 121.49.

Both Hank Wetmore and John Foust took home some extra hardware courtesy of Summit Racing Equipment which they much deserved.

On behalf of the AA/GS Racers Association, we would like to thank all our members who attended as each did a wonderful job! We would also like to thank our sponsor Summit Racing Equipment and Pittsburgh Raceway Park and all the fans who came over to our cars and showed their passion and support.

Our next race will be on the weekend of October 14th at New London Dragway in Lynchburg, Virginia where we will have a special announcement.
