Go behind the scenes with the “Twilight Zone” race team at the North American Nitro Jam in New Hampshire
NORWALK, Ohio (November 1, 2010) – From the pits to the main stage, the amount of hard work and dedication that goes into putting together a championship season is substantial.
And in no sport is that more true than in drag racing.
In a sport where winning and losing is measured in milliseconds and the difference at the line is less than an inch at speeds well over 320 miles per hour, drag racing takes a fearless attitude and a skilled crew to take the world’s fastest machines and make them perform at the highest level.
Now you can get a firsthand look at what it takes to make a 300 mph Top Fuel dragster compete on the sport’s biggest stage with a behind the scenes look at the world of Nitro Jam hosted by 2010 Nitro Jam Top Fuel champion Bobby Lagana Jr. this Saturday, October 6 at 5:30 p.m.
“It was awesome to have the SPEED crew follow us around for the weekend and show the hard work and sacrifice, along with all the fun that goes into pursing this sport” Lagana said. “From local media and sponsorship appearances, to setting up the pits, getting the car ready for the race and following along on a four second pass, this will be one show you simply can’t miss. We had a lot of fun filming it and I had even more fun being on set last week to do some voiceover work. I can’t wait.”
Watch as Lagana and his crew navigate a cool and damp weekend in Epping, N.H. at the famed New England Dragway and deal with the hardships of a less than stellar weekend. Easily the most popular race team in Nitro Jam racing, join Bobby, his brother Dom and the rest of the “Twilight Zone” team in a rare look into the world of Top Fuel racing.
And before that, beginning at 5 p.m., catch a recap of the final race of the 2010 season and see Lagana capture the ’10 Nitro Jam championship with a huge victory at the World Finals Nitro Jam at Virginia Motorsports Park. Also watch as Steve Nichols (Prostalgia Nitro Funny Car) and Bill Evans (Pro Fuel) wrap up championships in their respective classes in addition to a full weekend of sportsman racing from Richmond, Va.
From setting up the pits, to race prep and all the technical information about the car, plus round by round action and much more, don’t miss an exciting hour of Nitro Jam on SPEED this Saturday beginning at 5 p.m.
