11-03-2009 Huntington, NY – The 7th Annual Al-Anabi Shakedown at E’Town is upon us once again. After miserable weather in October for the original Shakedown date, promoter Dave Hance and Team made the right decision and rescheduled the event to Nov. 7th and 8th, and weather forecasts show beautiful weather for this coming weekend.
In 2008 we witnessed NEOPMA member Scott Cannon shatter the outlaw blown quarter mile record. In the Blown Quarter mile class we saw members Tim O'Hare, Steve King, Chip King, Frank Patille, Tommy Gray, Barney Squires, Billy Gibson, Scott Cannon and Kevin McCurdy qualify for the 16 car field.
In the Nitrous Quarter mile class we saw members Jeff Blasi, Matt Deitch John Bartunek, Milt Decker, Steve Cossis, Nick Montana, John Pluchino, Fred Scriba, Vinny Budano qualify for the 16 car field.
This year center stage is the world renowned Shakedown at E’Town, and it is shaping up to be even bigger and more exciting with the addition of the Barwa Outlaw Eight Mile Challenge. See members Tommy Gray and Scott Cannon battle the best eighth mile racers in the country for the $20,000.00 prize.
