Springfield's Wilkerson enters today's NHRA sessions as top qualifier
Springfield's Tim Wilkerson hasn't been overjoyed with how the first half of his NHRA Funny Car season has unfolded. But Friday's first day of Sears Craftsman Nationals qualifying at Gateway International Raceway did nothing to dampen the demeanor of Wilkerson, who started the weekend in 13th place in the Funny Car standings but enters today's final two qualifying sessions as the top Funny Car qualifier.
