Pasadena judge won't set bail in 1988 murder of racing legend
A judge Monday declined to set bail for the man charged in the 1988 shooting deaths of racing legend Mickey Thompson and his wife. The judge rejected a defense argument that Michael Goodwin, Thompson's former business partner, should be released on $500,000 bail because he should not be considered a danger to society and is not a flight risk because prosecutors have decided not to seek the death penalty.
