O'FALLON, MO (January 9, 2012) – The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) is set to announce pre-registration information for Pro Junior Dragster for the upcoming 2012 season.

Pre-registration for the 2012 ADRL Tour will begin at 10 a.m. EST on Jan. 15.

The 2012 ADRL season begins on March 30-31 at Royal Purple Raceway in Houston and includes 10 races at many of the most prestigious tracks and facilities in the United States.

The non-refundable entry fee is $250 per driver, per event and must be pre-paid by cash, check or credit card. Pre-registration will not be confirmed until payment is received and cleared.

The ADRL will accept 20 cars per event with a 16-car qualifying field based on closest to a 7.90 index without breaking out. There will also be a waiting list of 10 cars per event in case of cancellations.

The following is how the pre-registration process will take place:

· Jan 14, at 10 a.m. EST: Competitors who wish to race in ALL 10 events on the 2012 ADRL Tour should call Trevor Wilson, Director of Competition for PJD, at (269) 719-0041.

· Jan 15, at 10 a.m. EST: Competitors who wish to race at a select number of races per their desire and choosing should call Trevor Wilson, the Director of Competition for PJD, at (269) 719-0041.

Pre-registration will remain open until one week prior to each event (space permitting).

Pro Junior Dragsters are scaled-down, rear-engine race cars driven by competitors ages 13 to 18 in the ADRL's standard eighth-mile race. In 2012, PJD will race under a new 7.90 heads-up index on a .500 pro tree.

"I am extremely excited about our new 7.90 heads-up format on a pro tree," ADRL Director of Competition for Pro Junior Dragster Trevor Wilson said. "There is no other drag racing organization that allows these young drivers to compete on such a large stage and present themselves as young professional drivers."

Entering its fifth full season in the ADRL, the Pro Junior Dragster class has become an integral part of each ADRL event. It has been home to some of the best and most talented young drivers in the sport, delivering quality side-by-side action and tremendous excitement.

"The Pro Junior Dragster competitors are very important to ADRL and its first-class show," Wilson stated. "These teams and talented drivers represent the future of our sport and we can't wait to see one of our current PJD competitors competing in one of the ADRL's professional classes."
