ROCKINGHAM RETURNS TO TRADITIONAL SUPER CHEVY SHOW WEEKEND FOR 2012

Super Chevy Show at Rockingham Dragway will be held October 19–21

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (November 10, 2011) – The Super Chevy Show series recently made a triumphant return to Rockingham Dragway after more than a decade on hiatus.  The event, scheduled for several weeks earlier in 2012, will now settle into its traditional third week of October.

The departure of Firebird International Raceway from the series schedule allowed Rockingham Dragway to seize the opportunity and move its date back to the time-honored weekend of October 19 – 21, 2012.

Steve Earwood owns and manages Rockingham Dragway (Rockingham, N.C.). Earwood said he was pleased with the successful return of the series to his facility.

"We were thrilled with the turnout out and support from racers, car show participants, and automotive enthusiasts attending the show," said Earwood. "We are looking forward to the series returning in 2012 on our established weekend in late October."

The 2011 event featured a cruise for RK Motors in Charlotte N.C., as well as highlighted a Pro Mod exhibition from Rickie Smith and Doug Winters, and Pepe Urban’s jet truck.
