NEW NHRARACER.COM WEBSITE WILL BE DEDICATED TO SERVICING THE NEEDS OF NHRA COMPETITORS

GLENDORA, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2011) – The NHRA Competition Dept. has announced that a new Website designed exclusively to improve communication with all NHRA competitors will be launched today.

NHRARacer.com will replace the current competition link on NHRA.com, which will provide competitors an easier means to conduct general business with NHRA’s Competition, Tech and Contingency departments.

“With NHRARacer.com, all NHRA competitors will be able to access an exclusive website that is dedicated to servicing their needs, and it will make it much easier for us to communicate directly with our competitors,” said Josh Peterson, vice president of racing administration, NHRA. “NHRARacer.com will have links that will allow our competitors to register for national events, check race schedules, view competition notices, get rules updates and download the NHRA Rulebook. The site will also allow competitors to access and navigate it with ease via their mobile devices.”

The site, which will be open to all NHRA competitors regardless of membership status, will be separated into four different sections: Competition, Tech, Contingency and Racer Marketplace. The Competition, Tech and Contingency section will be identified with a logo to help users navigate through the notices, which will be posted under a heading titled “Latest Updates,” while the Racer Marketplace will be located below the “Latest Updates.”

The competition area will include national event registration, national event credentials, event notices, hours and location of credential trailer and sportsman waiver trailer, downloadable competition applications and include a list of contacts for national event registration and divisional offices.

The NHRA Rulebook, divisional tech directors, engine blueprint specs, records and indexes and stock car classifications will be included in the Tech Dept. section.

In the Contingency area, competitors will be able to view the latest contingency postings and requirements as well as the latest contingency sponsor information.

Racer Marketplace will showcase advertisements for NHRA Member Track events, classified ads and a racer directory, which will list links and contact information to companies that produce products for NHRA competitors.
