PERFORMANCE HERITAGE HIGHLIGHTED AT YORK

York, PA - July 1, 2009

Call it Nostalgia Heaven, the York Reunion, or Musclecar Madness it is still the only show of it's kind in this country, it's the 8th Annual Musclecar Madness at the York Reunion show that takes place at the York Expo Center, York Fairgrounds and is brought to you by York Traditions Bank and GGS Technical Publication Services.

The Golden Heritage Sponsorship by GMMG, Inc., York Traditions Bank and GGS Technical Publication Services have made it all possible to continue for eight straight years presenting a "nostalgia heaven" with the performance magic of the greatest Legends of Drag Racing making their annual appearance at York which features a Salute to Ford.

The legends list reads like a who's who in drag racing with "Ohio George" Montgomery, Jere Stahl, Hubert Platt, "The Voice of Drag Racing" Jon Lundberg, "Miss Hurst Golden Shifter" Linda Vaughn, Arlen Vanke, Al Joniec, Sam Auxier, Jr., Bob Harrop, Bud Faubel, Wally Booth, Gordy Foust, Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins, Bruce Larson, Bob Tasca, Sr., Monk Reynolds, Jerry Baltes, Jack Werst, Bob Chipper, Wally Bell, and many more.

The Paul & Pam Balash Willys coupe will be unveiled at a special ceremony at 2:30 p.m. on Friday while Billy Lynch will debut the Lynch Brothers Top Fuel dragster that was just recently completed.

Legendary race cars like Eddie Schartman's Rattler II funny car, the Dave Strickler altered wheelbase '65 Dodge, the Gas Ronda altered wheelbase Mustang, the Tasca Ford '64 Ford Thunderbolt, the AMC Pro Stock Gremlin and AMC Hornet of Wally Booth, the Doug Thorley Javelin funny car, plus others will also debut at the annual York event.

The Central Pennsylvania modelers will present their annual model display with very detailed replicas of many of the cars that are on display.

The charity of choice is the York County SPCA with a popular memorabilia auction on Saturday at 5:30 p.m., numerous drawings, and proceeds from individual voting for the People's Choice. The goal is to exceed the $5500 in proceeds from the 2008 show. Thus far the York County SPCA has been recipient of over $31,000 from previous shows.

The Cruisin' Into Summer cruise in will be presented both days by the Cruisin' Columbia staff. Hours are Friday, 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cars are registered on the day of the show. The inside show runs until 8 p.m. both days.

Admission to the show is $25.00 for discount two day ticket. $15.00 single day, children under 12 free and free parking. All active service men and women will be admitted free upon presentation of their active military i.d.
