National Guard ADRL Fans and Teams Appreciate Addition of Drag Race Central Reporting

National Guard ADRL Fans and Teams Appreciate Addition of Drag Race Central Reporting

O'FALLON, MO (July 10, 2009) - At its recent Hardee's Independence Drags III at Heartland Park Topeka, the National Guard American Drag Racing League (ADRL) introduced what series president and CEO Kenny Nowling referred to as "a major step in the continued growth of our company:" live, round-by-round, online results presented by Summit Racing Equipment available through a link at www.ADRL.us that links to coverage by Drag Race Central (DRC) reporters.

The new DRC service complements an already-extensive National Guard ADRL media package that includes a high-definition TV show on the Versus network; live news, notes and photos posted to www.ADRL.us; throughout events; live, online timing of all qualifying and elimination passes, and streaming audio from each event of National Guard ADRL announcers Al Tucci and Brian Olson.

"The response we've seen to the Drag Race Central coverage has been tremendous," National Guard ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune stated. "We've received several e-mails and phone calls from fans who couldn't be in Topeka, but said it made a big difference in their online enjoyment of the event."

National Guard ADRL Pro Extreme driver Elliot Thompson also was among those unable to make the trip to Topeka, but said the DRC reporting kept him involved throughout the weekend.

"I hate that we couldn't get to that race, but we were busy working on our car getting it ready for the next one," Elliot explained from his shop in Pennsylvania. "So I was a thousand miles away and other than missing the noise and the smell of tire smoke, being able to watch and read the Drag Race Central results online made me feel like I was right there."

National Guard ADRL Vice President of Publications Ian Tocher pointed out that in addition to making each National Guard ADRL event easier to follow at home, Drag Race Central reporting also provides an accurate online archive of each official qualifying and eliminations round pass for future use.

"I know I'll be referencing the Drag Race Central site many times in the months and years to come as I prepare National Guard ADRL publications and online articles," Tocher said. "As the online records accumulate, Drag Race Central will become a wealth of information about the National Guard ADRL for fans, teams and journalists alike."

The next National Guard ADRL event featuring Drag Race Central reporting presented by Summit Racing Equipment, will be the NATIONAL GUARD.com U.S. Drags II July 24-25, at VirginiaMotorsports Park, near Richmond.

Drag Race Central's Rick Green was the man behind the keyboard July 3-4, providing live, online reporting of every official qualifying and eliminations round pass from the National Guard ADRL Hardee's Independence Drags III at Heartland Park Topeka.
