Richard Grant Merrell passes on Richard Grant Merrell began working on cars in 1955 and served as a sponsor and crew chief at local drag races. The veteran racer died on Dec. 29 in San Bernardino at the age of 88. RIP, Richard.
I am sorry to find that Richard Merrel is gone. I'm researching the history of a '27 ford roadster body that was a former race car that has the Merrell name from San Bernardino on the side (the lettering had been covered by many layers of primer and paint) If any one has any info or pictures of this vehicle I sure would appreciate hearing from them. thanks
