Drag Strip Girl comes full circle
When Mendy Fry graduated from Santa Rosa High in 1987, she was the school's undisputed horse power queen. Her striking dark features, long brunette hair and movie-star looks prompted some to ask why she wasn't homecoming queen but she wasn't interested in any popularity contests. She just wanted to go fast. Racing and working on cars was all she knew and she was damn good at it.
