HEARTLAND PARK TOPEKA TO HOST SECOND LUCAS OIL SERIES EVENT; OHIO'S NATIONAL TRAIL RACEWAY TO HOST HARLEY-DAVIDSON SERIES

Harley-Davidson Series to compete at Ohio’s National Trail Raceway

GLENDORA, Calif. – NHRA announced today the addition of a second NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Heartland Park Topeka for the 2014 season.  It will be the first of two NHRA LODRS events in 2014 at HPT, scheduled for July 25-26 (Friday and Saturday), with the NHRA West Central Division returning to the popular Kansas multipurpose motorsports complex the following month, Aug. 22-23.

Both events will be West Central Division NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series divisional events, and the August race will also include Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Cars as part of NHRA's Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Central Region.

Additionally, National Trail Raceway outside Columbus, Ohio, will host an NHRA Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series event July 18-20, which will be run in conjunction with the NHRA Lucas Oil Series North Central Regional event.  The series is headlined by the Top Fuel Harley class, with each of the seven classes competing at 10 events across the country from March to November.
