For as long as anyone can remember, the official length of a professional drag race has been a quarter of a mile, or 1,320 feet (though eighth-mile tracks exist as well). But because of the dangers associated with the increasing speeds of Top Fuel and Funny Car drag race cars, that’s about to change.
