Gullquist scores first Chevy Hemi
Swedish Pro Mod racer Micke Gullquist scored a world first for European drag racing at Santa Pod Raceway yesterday when he unveiled the first blown-alcohol Chevy Hemi Pro Mod engine. Micke's Keith Black Chevy block is toting a pair of massive Sonny Leonard hemi cylinder heads developed from those used on IHRA Mountain Motor Pro Stock engines. Micke and American Pro Mod racer Kirk Kuhns have been working on the configuration for eighteen months and both racers spoke exclusively to Eurodragster.com about the amazing hybrid.
