Gaines, Connolly, Enders impress in early test session
The Canadian cold front pressing through the country has turned Bradenton Motorsports Park near Tampa, Fla., into a virtual mineshaft as a handful of NHRA Pro Stock teams begin their first concerted testing of the off-season. With a pair of 6.67-second passes, Vieri Gaines and Dave Connolly grabbed low E.T. honors Tuesday as the adjusted altitude readings dipped to 500 feet below sea level. Newcomer Erica Enders cranked out a would-be national record top speed of 207.94 mph during her best run.
