Blasi Racing repeats as Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association Nitrous Points Champion for 2009

9-24-2009 Independence Township, NJ – Like any other sport, drag racing on 1320 feet of concrete and asphalt in the NEOPMA is a challenge, but perseverance, teamwork and consistency gets you championships. Blasi Racing is a testament to this. They have now repeated their feat of 2008, and are now the 2009 NEOPMA Nitrous Division point’s champions for the second year in a row. “This is an honor we worked hard to achieve, and to do so against a group of our peers such as the members of the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association just makes it more honorable. This group of racers, although all friends, give “No Quarter” when you get to the starting line. You can however ask the person you just raced win, lose or draw after the race for some help and you will get it. Furthermore in all instances the person you just raced is the first to congratulate or console you as the case may be,” states Jeff Blasi, driver of the champion Pat Musi powered 63’ Corvette.

“An honor like this cannot be achieved without a strong team effort and good people. We feel we have just such a situation, and would like to acknowledge them. First on the list is our driver Jeff Blasi, Jeff has the capability to block out most distractions around him and focus directly on the race at hand to get the job done. Next up are our great crew members Joe Stora and James From. They have been together with us long enough to understand what needs to be done and to get it done quickly and efficiently at the track between rounds with a minimum of slip ups,” states Bob Blasi of Blasi Racing.

“Additionally,” states, Bob Blasi, “there has to be a strong mechanical program in place. Musi Performance has supplied us with a dependable power plant and on-track assistance which when coupled with our car has proven to be an extremely repetitive and reliable combination. Pat and his people are second to none. Last but not least, all this would be for nothing without a place to race. This has been provided by the NEOPMA under the very capable guidance of Club President John Mazzorana and Vito Micciolo”.
