CHRR - Gunfight at the OK Corral

Nostalgia top fuel team, Highspeed Motorsports, will make their way up to Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield California on October 10-12 for the final stop on the 2008 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series trail, the California Hot Rod Reunion. The team and driver Troy Green enter the event with a very slim 3 point lead over Jim Murphy and his WW2 crew. Both teams have been extremely potent this season and should make for a very exciting final race.

The last time Green and his team were at Bakersfield they dominated the field turning in a 5.71 at 261 mph for low et and top speed of the event and taking home the trophy and the Hot Rod Heritage Series points lead. Two weeks later the team traveled to hot and humid Bowling Green Kentucky again setting low et and top speed of the event along with a new track record 5.72 at 258 mph.

Green says, "I am very confident in our race car and our team. These guys pour their hearts into this deal and it is really paying off. We have never had a better car than we do right now and I am really up for the challenge of staying one step ahead of Murphy and bring this championship home for our team."
