Carl Olson has had a long and storied career in drag racing, from winning top fuel racer to Vice President of NHRA's international operations, but the last drag race at Lions Drag Strip remains the highlight of his career.

Thanks for the reaccount of drag racings most memorable night and venue. Would love to see those obligatory photos you mentioned.
Since I was never lucky enough to visit Lions, I looked up and posted the former site on Google Earth just to see any landmarks of that great track.
