Tindle Reflects on Frustrating First Round Loss in Houston

(04-15-10) HOUSTON, TX -- It was a frustrating first round loss for Tim Tindle and his Tindle Racing Promod team in the 23rd annual O'Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park, the second of 10 races on the 2010 NHRA Get Screened America Promod schedule.

After qualifying in a strong No.7 spot with his time of 5.923, 241.45 mph, Tindle’s run against opponent Joe Baker produced a time of 9.568, 100.34 mph when his Ford GT500 Mustang made a quick move toward the wall, forcing him to abort the run and bow down to Baker's 5.976, 240.51 mph pass.

“Yes, we’re very disappointed,” said Tindle.  “But, we can’t sit and dwell on this result.  We’ll have to correct what went wrong here and prepare diligently for Madison in two weeks.”

“The points are not the priority right now,” he added.  “We are focused on correcting the problems that have popped up this season and then move forward.  The points will take care of themselves over time.”

“Quain and the guys have worked really hard on this hotrod and I think our path to winner’s circle is coming soon.”
