O’FALLON, MO (Apr. 30, 2010) — The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) is proud to announce Simpson Performance Products as the title sponsor of its oldest and most prestigious event, the ADRL Simpson Performance Products Dragstock VII at Rockingham Dragway, Sept. 10-11, in Rockingham, North Carolina.
“We couldn’t be more excited about increasing our involvement with the ADRL as a national event title sponsor,” Simpson Performance Products Vice President of Marketing Debbie Bishop stated. “We appreciate what Dragstock and its history means to the ADRL and its race teams and Simpson Performance Products is proud to become part of that history this September.”
The initial Dragstock was intended as no more than a once-a-year exhibition, but the promise of that 2004 event—measured not only by racer participation and fan attendance, but by the tremendously positive response from competitors and spectators alike—gave rise to the ADRL series that created new racing classes, new stars and a new way of presenting world-class drag racing to the public.
Dragstock III also ushered in the era of the ADRL’s complimentary ticket program that now is emulated by dozens of sports and entertainment concerns.
“Dragstock is something that is very important to me personally, so I couldn’t be more thrilled about having a company with the stature of Simpson Performance Products attached to it,” ADRL President and CEO Kenny Nowling said. “It truly is a special race and with Simpson Performance Products now standing behind it, we can take Dragstock VII to even greater heights.”
