PMRA and Quick 32 Sportsman Series launch new interactive websites

Racer information, statistics, search engine and fan participation all part of new-look sites

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (April 18, 2010) – In an effort to present the best in drag racing, the Pro Modified Racing Association, www.PMRA.ca and the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, www.Quick32.ca are launching improved and updated websites.

The sites will offer a smoother flow of information, competitor information, race statistics, and will be much more interactive.

The updated sites have been designed and developed by webmaster Mike Goodwin of MG Digital Media, www.mgdigital.ca, a talented freelance graphic designer and sports action photographer. Goodwin is well known for his graphic excellence and presentation.

“There are several exciting new features incorporated into these sites”, said Goodwin, “but our primary goal was to offer a wealth of information for fans and racers in the PMRA and the Quick 32 Sportsman Series.”

“First off we designed the home page to be more of a blog format,” Goodwin continued. “All the latest news will be posted there but we have given it a different slant. We have left it open for fans to post comments about what they are reading. Being grassroots organizations it’s really important for us to let the fans get involved and interact when they see stories about their favorite racer.

“We have also incorporated social media into the mix,” he noted. “Along with our current Facebook Group Pro Modified Racing Association and Quick 32 Sportsman Series we have also started the Twitter feed PMRA_Q32. Once we get things rolling we plan to be able to keep the fans and racers updated on qualifying, round results or any other interesting information that we can feed to their mobile devices while they are cruising the pits or sitting in the stands.”

A new “Upcoming Events” area will provide the user with a fast, easy link to the race schedules and events. The new “Competitor Information” section not only provides series information and contingency awards, it also provides historical data and statistics. Now a user will be able to view records in the PMRA and the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, along with who won each event through the years and the Championship Point Award Series standings in each series.

Another new feature for each site will be the search engine facility. News items will be archived, and the “Links” section has been modified and expanded.

“These updated sites will give the fans and the racers the ability to find out everything about the PMRA and the Quick 32 Sportsman Series at the click of a mouse,” noted Bruce Mehlenbacher, Director of Operations for both series. “Along with all the new features, our Photo Gallery and Sponsors sections will be much more accessible. We believe these changes and updates will strengthen the impact of both series.”
