Newport Beach, CA (April 20, 2010) – WC Vision has announced a partnership with Race Central TV that will focus on the lifestyle of the World Challenge Championships. Race Central TV will dedicate a full half hour of programming from this year’s running of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, focusing on the behind-the-scenes elements of the event.
“World Challenge is excited to be partnering with Kurt and the Race Central TV crew," said Dave Drimmie, VP, Marketing and Communications. "Obviously the races are the main focus to any World Challenge weekend, but there are cool stories that don't always make it into our main TV programs on Versus. The Race Central broadcast will shine a light on those stories."
Award-winning Race Central TV Host and former Professional Driver Kurt Hansen, will bring this look behind the curtain of the racing world of the World Challenge Championships, including the back stories, parties, celebrities and drivers into the home of the fans in a full feature program.
“To be partnered with a race series I have longed throughout my professional career to race in is the next best thing to being behind the wheel,” Hansen, Executive Producer and Host of Race Central TV & Radio said. “To do it at the place where I had my first professional race with the Atlantic Championship in the early 90s is the icing on the cake. This is truly a special place and opportunity.”
Race Central TV can be seen in North America and around the globe on MavTV in HD on Dish Network channel 361, Verizon FIOS, Comcast, Charter Cable and many other providers.
